Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:02 Fontwell - Dwight K Schrute

A reasonably expensive purchase in the summer, the lightly raced Dwight K Schrute should be able to beat the rest here. His win in a point to point came over a shorter trip, so dropping in distance shouldn’t be much of a problem for him. There is nothing in the race which looks like an outstanding prospect, so he should be able to take this contest if he has a good day at the office.

Tip 2 - 2:20 Southwell - Ali Star Bert

Career form of 86212122232 at Southwell bodes well for Ali Star Bert and although he’s not won since last February, that run has an excellent chance of ending today when he runs against just four other rivals. The nine-year-old has also won over today’s distance, 3m2f, before and rarely dips below 3m so has the stamina to stay in the thick of it which may not be the case for all involved.

Tip 3 - 3:12 Fontwell – Officer Of State

Four-year-old Continuance has made a nice start to hurdling but is up eight pounds for latest win, and while he has a 10-pound claimer, said claimer has only won one race before, so we look elsewhere. Office Of State readily won over course and distance before struggling up in trip. Firmer ground seemed to suit him here last time, so conditions could be ripe for a big run.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
