Five-year-old Kelpie Grey made an encouraging return from 302 days off the track to finish second here over a furlong further on soft ground earlier this month. Opposing an odds-on favourite is always a difficult proposition, but Green Team is perhaps longer than he should be in the markets, having won three of his last four and boasting form figures of 33321 on turf stretching back into last summer. The six-year-old’s last outing saw him take a victory over 1m6f, his second in a row over today’s distance including all-weather, putting him in good stead to take on a favourite that hasn’t gone further than 1m4f in a fledgling career.

Tip 4 - 5:10 Galway - Ephesus
Davy Crockett is sure to be popular, being bred in the purple and having made an impressive debut last month. At the prices, Ephesus holds a lot of appeal. He’s run in some top hurdle races, with his last two efforts in graded company coming on ground that would have been softer than ideal. The return to a sounder surface today will suit, and he could serve it up to the Mullins good thing.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
