Tip 2 - 2:05 Beverley - First Instinct

It looks to us that First Instinct should be a shorter price than at present with good Listed form this season. She got her nose in front at Cork over half a furlong further in May before placing the next two in a Group 2 and then another Listed contest. Ran well but looked like six furlongs was too far last time out in a Group 3 and back down to five furlongs as well as being fresh for a seven-week gap, she should be there or thereabouts.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
