Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:20 Cheltenham - Galileo Dame

Connections have decided to run Galileo Dame here instead of in the Triumph, and their decision is likely to prove fruitful. Receiving a handy weight allowance as the only 4yo in the field, she’s very well-treated on official ratings. She was the best of these on the flat and produced arguably the best piece of form on offer here, when finishing second in a Grade 1 at the DRF. She may be a maiden, but it’ll take a good horse to stop her.

Tip 2 - 2:40 Cheltenham - One Big Bang

It’s not been the best season for One Big Bang with form of 22461 but that win was all-important as it came in the Haydock qualifier and, perhaps just as crucially, it was fairly comfortable by 2¼ lengths over Doddiethegreat. It’s a 7lb rise for this one at Cheltenham but jockey Jamie Brace claims 5lb, which could be huge in a race that is likely to come right down to the wire.

Tip 3 - 3:20 Cheltenham - Il Est Francais

After leading from the front in both his visits to Kempton, Il Est Francais will no doubt attempt to leave them all trailing in his wake again. He’s down in trip for the Ryanair, and was only caught late on in the King George so it’s not going to be his stamina that is the issue here. Something is going to need to pass him, and there might not be anything with the pace that’s required.

Tip 4 - 4:00 Cheltenham - Langer Dan e/w

There is something about the Cheltenham Festival that brings the best out of Langer Dan, winner of the Coral Cup the last years and a second to Galopin Des Champs by just two-and-a-half lengths on debut that has looked better by the year. Has beaten just two contenders in total from last three races but form was equally unimpressive before wins the last two years. This is an unknown trip but given his record at Cheltenham, he seems well worth a shot at the prices.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
