Tip 1 - 2:10 Chepstow - Over Spiced
Over Spiced’s bid for a hat trick last month was ended by a second at Thirsk, but there is every reason to believe she can bounce back today. The three-year-old specialises in 5f runs on turf, having won three of her 10 such outings and finished second or third in a further four, and edged out the favourite here when winning over course and distance in May at 5/1.

Tip 2 - 2:40 Chepstow - Bear To Dream
Guiteau is likely to be popular here, on a reduced mark and having his first run for a new yard. The change of scenery could do wonders for him, but he failed to beat a rival in two of his last three runs and is far too short to consider backing. Preference is for Bear To Dream. Michael Attwater’s mare has been running well at Brighton recently, winning last month and finishing second a couple of weeks ago. Tommie Jakes dropped his whip that day, and she likely would have gone even closer. She looks like the right call.

Tip 3 - 3:22 Hamilton - English Oak
The form of English Oak is not pretty this season, finishing ahead of only 11 rivals from a possible 64 in four races, but there’s reason to believe he could bounce back now from a favourable mark. Won the Buckingham Palace Stakes last year from a mark of 99, and he is now down below that for the first time since. Has been slowly away regularly and this additional furlong and a half could help with that. Favourite Sallaal could be anything, but we’re willing to go up against an odds-on favourite.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
