Tip 1 - 2:30 Ascot – Exclamation

Two 100/1 shots have already come extremely close to winning the opening race on the first two days of the festival, and Exclamation - who isn’t quite that price but is still lengthy - is looking to go one better. Career form of 332 makes this colt an interesting contender, especially with the second place coming in a Class 2 affair, and he can continue to defy expectations in this one.

Tip 2 - 3:05 Ascot - Gunship

The middle of the track has been a pretty good place to be for the first couple of days of Royal Ascot, and you can't get much more middle than Gunship’s stall 10 of 19 runners. Has finished his last two races at 1m2f very strongly, suggesting that today’s 1m4f would be ideal. Was third to Sing Us A Song at Sandown, but with more front-running tactics could overturn that result. Oisin Murphy on board has a 25% percentage win ratio with three-year-olds on turf this season and could add to that today.

Tip 3 - 3:40 Ascot - Serenity Prayer

Serenity Prayer may have lost her unbeaten tag last time out, but that was to Whirl who was only beaten a neck in the Oaks. With nothing approaching that standard in this race, a repeat of that performance might be good enough here. Oisin Murphy is onboard and is having a great week at Ascot, firing in a great handicap winner yesterday, so they could prove to be a tough combination to beat today.

Tip 4 - 4:20 Ascot - Trawlerman

Only two horses managed to beat Kyprios in the last four years. One of those is Trawlerman, who out-battled the staying legend to with the Long Distance Cup here in 2023. Stepped up in distance for last year’s Gold Cup, Trawlerman ran another blinder, finishing second to his rival, and well clear of the rest of the field. With Kyprios now retired, Trawlerman looks to have all the credentials to land the biggest race at Royal Ascot.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
