Tip 1 - 2:10 Brighton - River Wharfe
A course and distance winner as recently as May, River Wharfe has won four times around here and typically puts in strong performances even when not victorious. Dating back to June last year, the seven-year-old has form of 1451621443 and was within two lengths of the winner in each of his last three goes. He is afforded 1lb today compared to those three runs and jockey Molly Gunn, who was on board for the last C&D win in May, claims five to help the cause.

Tip 2 - 2:50 Nottingham - Eclipser
Plenty of promise in this nursery handicap and we've gone for Eclipser, who has a sole win on all-weather and never finished above fourth on the turf as of yet. However, the filly was less than two lengths down when last of four at Yarmouth and raced as if seven furlongs was one too many last time out. Six furlongs was her winning distance at Chelmsford, and if she runs less keenly than at Yarmouth, she should be there or thereabouts. Trainer Charlie Clover has three winners from last five to post.

Tip 3 - 3:50 Nottingham - Kaaranah
Triple Force did manage to put a few wins together, but he looks like he is in the grip of the handicapper now so we will side with Kaaranah. He ran keen following a break but put up a decent performance nonetheless, still running through the line. That bodes well for going up in trip today should he settle, as he could be dangerous sitting just 1lb higher than his last winning mark.

Tip 4 - 4:20 Nottingham - Day Of Grace
Day Of Grace has been absent since a pair of all weather runs in the spring, where she showed real promise. Wide draws and her inexperience were very much against her, but she showed a level of form that’s certainly up to taking a race like this. Up in trip and switched to turf, two things that should suit based on her pedigree, today could be her day with the Haggas yard in flying form.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
