Tip 1 - 2.50 Beverley – Hiya Maite

A previous course and distance winner, Hiya Maite is a 5f specialist who has recorded six wins in his career and has no trouble switching from all-weather to turf, having won on both multiple times. Although he’s not recorded a win yet this year, going 3272, this is a rather tamer field than those runs and is a worthy favourite here.

Tip 2 - 3:15 Cheltenham - Yes Day

Jonjo O’Neill’s in-form seven-year-old is going for a hat-trick today, and there’s reason to believe there is still plenty of room for improvement off this mark at bigger trips. Has been campaigned over three miles for some time and now has a record of two wins and two thirds from five chases. The last two were handy wins, and today’s drop in trip by over two furlongs should suit nicely for the top weight.

Tip 3 - 3:35 Newmarket - Wimbledon Hawkeye

Plenty of potential superstars in this lineup, with preference for James Owen’s Group 2 winner Wimbledon Hawkeye. He travelled powerfully through the race when winning the Royal Lodge over course and distance in September, before a creditable effort in the Futurity, finishing third. Ground conditions today shouldn’t matter to him, and he’s proven himself to be high-class and able to handle the track. He’ll take a lot of beating.

Tip 4 - 3:50 Cheltenham - Mr Hope Street

The progressive Mr Hope Street was well fancied for an Aintree handicap in the ante-post market but never made the race, probably due to the very quick ground. It won’t be as rattling fast today but he still should be able to make use of the speed he has shown in previous runs over the intermediate trip. His only other run over three miles saw him win, so he can make it two from two here.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
