Tip 1 - 2:30 Ascot – Dancing Gemini

Dancing Gemini has returned to form this year with two wins and a second place, making up for an off 2024 where he recorded figures of 26654. His two victories were the Listed Doncaster Mile and the Group 2 Sandown Mile, both of which were very comfortable, and although he was beaten by a neck in the Class 1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury last time out, this four-year-old has shown more than enough to compete today.

Tip 2 - 3:05 Ascot - Power Blue

Albert Einstein is considered by most at Ballydoyle to be their superstar juvenile this season, and he was favourite for this race before pulling out with an injury. Power Blue was narrowly beaten by him at the Curragh three weeks ago. Despite getting beaten, he was likely second to a very good horse, and proved that he stays six furlongs. If Albert Einstein is as good as they say, Power Blue is massively overpriced here.

Tip 3 - 3:40 Ascot - Mgheera

As you would expect with such a high-class race, there are more than a few candidates for the win here, but it is five-year-old Mgheera who we think can continue her upward trajectory since moving over to Ed Walker’s yard earlier this year. Group 3 and Group 2 success this spring could well be followed by a first Group 1 if taking to what expects to be very quick ground.

Tip 4 - 5:00 Ascot - Align The Stars

We should see the best of Charlie Johnson’s strong travelling horse now he gets his chance in a big field. He has a win to his name on good to firm so there is no worry about today’s ground. He looks like he has been prepped perfectly for this, seemingly not fully tuned up for a couple of races in May. He’s back on his last winning mark, and has some first time headgear installed. This looks like the target.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
