Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 13:05 Taunton - Ellie’s Warrior

A wind-op seemed to bring about a bit of improvement in Ellie’s Warrior who finally got involved in a race last time out. She is out of Walk In The Palk so you would hope there is ability in there somewhere. On good ground and with cheekpieces fitted, she could be thrown in off a mark of just 82 if the penny drops.

Tip 2 - 4:05 Taunton - Ede’iffs Rock

All four runners in this have a fair argument for favouritism, but it is Ede’iffs Rock’s eye-catching win over course and distance last time out that piques our interest today. A front-running win of over seven lengths would usually mean more than a five-pound rise, and we think that can be taken advantage of again with the same bold tactics. The fifth home that day by 45 lengths, Space Voyage, won by 15 lengths next time out to firm up the form of the win.

Tip 3 - 4:35 Taunton – Him Malaya

A course-and-distance winner on his last run back in December, Him Malaya has the potential to go back-to-back today having stepped down a grade and in a smaller field. The six-year-old has run well when fresh in the past and even a 4lb rise today is unlikely to hinder him too much considering the similar conditions of today to his win here in December.

Tip 4 - 4:43 Newcastle - Sandret

Sandret has been completely luckless in running since winning over course and distance in December. His hold-up style means he usually has to wait for the gaps to appear, and that just hasn’t happened in his last two runs. Today’s smaller field should help in that regard, and despite being a 9yo, he still has the speed to cope with shorter trips, which should help if this becomes tactical.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
