2:38 Uttoxeter - Lucky Rose
Noel Williams’ seven-year-old Lucky Rose has taken nicely to fences with a win, a second and third in three tries so far. She is relatively unexposed with just 13 career races, so there could be plenty of improvement still to come. The step up in trip to today’s 3m2f seemed to bring out the best in her, and the hope is she takes another leap forward in her chasing career.

Tip 3 - 3:20 Bath - Neptune Legend
Neptune Legend is nowhere near the horse he once was, with his peak coming when winning a Newmarket handicap off a mark of 78 in 2021. His most recent win came at Southwell in February, when rated 50. A string of poor runs now have him a pound below that, and he should show the benefit of a spin around Brighton last month, which was his first run in two months following a wind op. He’s in terrible form but is too well-handicapped to ignore.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
