Tip 1 - 1:45 Aintree - Gidleigh Park

Lightly raced seven-year-old Gidleigh Park has always likely had this race in mind for the season after skipping Cheltenham so should be in great nick. Beat Caldwell Potter comfortably last time out in January, with the form working out great after Caldwell Potter won the Jack Richards convincingly at the Festival. Arkle winner Jango Baie looks interesting back up in trip, but we’ll go with the fresh horse to win here.

Tip 2 - 2:20 Aintree - Live Conti

Although he only has two hurdles races under his belt, Live Conti impressed in both wins and has potential to upset favourite Puturhandstogether at Aintree. The Dan Skelton-trained horse clearly has a lot more to offer than sticking with Class 4 outings, even if his ceiling is not yet known, and is firmly worth a punt to oppose the market leader.

Tip 3 - 2:55 Aintree - Spillane’s Tower

To say the form of Spillane’s Tower’s Punchestown run has been franked would be an understatement. Finishing half a length behind Fact To File and two lengths in front of Galopin Des Champs in the John Durkan is some performance. Without Il Est Francais blowing the race apart, he should have an easier time travelling through the race and should have the class to stay at the finish.

Tip 4 - 4:05 Aintree - Famous Clermont

Famous Clermont returns to the scene of his comfortable victory two years ago. Things haven’t always gone in his favour since, but he appears to be in perfect shape for this, having warmed up with a facile point-to-point win last month. We know he handles Aintree fences, and underfoot conditions appear to be ideal. He looks set to give a bold showing.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
