Those generous folk at The Tote have one last day of the massive £250,000 Guaranteed Minimum Placepot Pool on offer at Ascot this Saturday, with the prizes up for grabs likely to be astronomical. The three previous days of the amazing offer has sent many a Tote Placepot player home with large winnings in their pockets, for what can be very small outlays.

Last Saturday at Newmarket saw the Placepot pool swell to an incredible £388,712.13 for horse racing betting site punters, with the 6,563.92 winning units taking home £43.20 to a £1 stake. They are incredible returns for those punters lucky enough to have correctly predicted the placed horses in the first six races.

It was a big help for most involved that the favourite in all bar one race finished in the places, with the Cesarewitch Handicap, not surprisingly, being the exception. Prices of 4/1, 9/1, 40/1 and 16/1, represented the first four home in the feature race, a result that would have put an end to plenty of the Tote Placepot punters involved on the day.

This weekend’s £250,000 Guaranteed Minimum Placepot will take place on Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot, meaning that an afternoon of top-level racing on 15th October won’t be the only thing on offer. Four Group 1 races and one Group 2 will be included in the Placepot challenge, and that could mean there will be a lot of money on the line going in to the 20-runner Balmoral Handicap, which will not only bring to a close to the racing action, but also the Tote’s £250,000 Guaranteed Minimum Placepot offer.

If you have yet to do so, now is definitely the time to open a Tote account and try to take advantage of this generosity before it’s too late.

What is the Tote Placepot?

The Tote Placepot requires you to select horses from the first six races of a meeting that you think have a chance of finishing in a place. The number of places on offer differ by race, with the number of runners involved determining if your selection must finish in the first two, three or four.

Any race with fewer than four runners, means you must pick the winner only. Five to seven runners means two places, eight runners and over has three places on offer, while a handicap with 16 or more runners supplies four places.

The Tote Placepot also offers players the chance to select more than one horse in each race to place, although this will mean your stake will be bigger. The obvious starting point would be to select the favourites for each race, but that will greatly reduce your winnings, and there is also the chance that the favourites may not fire on the day. Therefore, the Placepot is a betting system that suits those punters who have a good eye for an outsider.

The Tote Placepot is a great way of making big money from small stakes, as well as keeping an interest in the racing throughout the day. You can also together with friends and family by giving everyone the chance to pick their own favoured horses for a chance of winning big.

For now, though, we wish you all the best with your sports betting selections on Saturday. Happy Placepot punting to you all.
