LA Rams At Tampa Bay Buccaneers Picks & NFL Divisional Round Predictions
Take a look at Rams vs Buccaneers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.
Rams vs Buccaneers Key Matchups
Tom Brady vs. Rams DBs: Brady passed for 432 yards vs. L.A. earlier this season, but had just one TD. The Rams have surrendered just 16 pass TDs in 18 games.
Matthew Stafford vs. Bucs Ball Hawks: The Rams are undefeated (7-0) when Stafford doesn’t toss an INT and 4-2 when he throws just one. Tampa had 17 INTs in 17 regular season games.
Mike Evans vs. Jalen Ramsey: Ramsey is considered one of the top shutdown CBs in the league. Tampa Bay is 9-1 when Evans has 70-plus receiving yards. The lone exception: A 7-106 game vs. the Rams.
5 Key Rams vs. Buccaneers Stats
6.9: Receptions out of the backfield allowed by Tampa Bay, the second-most. Fortunately, the Rams don’t utilize RBs in the pass game, accounting for 3.1 receptions per game.
14: The yards by the Buccaneers’ rushing leader in their 34-24 loss to the Rams earlier this season: Tom Brady. Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones combined for 19 yards on nine carries.
57: The Buccaneers are 7-0 when TE Rob Gronkowski gains at least 57 yards. He had 55 yards vs. the Rams in the first meeting and two catches for 25 yards vs. L.A. last year.
92: The fewest yards in a game for WR Cooper Kupp against teams not called the Cardinals. That includes a 9-96 game vs. the Bucs in Week 3, with two TDs.
1,083: The rush yards allowed to RBs by the Buccaneers defense, the fewest in the NFL. Only one other team has allowed fewer than 1,200. The seven rush TDs allowed is one off the pace.
Rams vs. Buccaneers Weather Forecast
Sunday afternoon in Tampa will be reasonable, with clear skies but a high temperature a low-for-Florida 61 degrees. The whole rest of the week should be in the 70s. Those coming down from Philly won’t complain, with snow and below-freezing temps back home on Sunday.
Rams vs Buccaneers Player Props
Cooper Kupp, Over 99.5 Receiving Yards
Kupp is an unstoppable force (except vs. Arizona for some reason). That includes 362 yards in three games vs. the Bucs the last three seasons. Matthew Stafford may throw 40-plus times here. That means a lot of looks in Kupp’s direction.
Rob Gronkowski, Over 5.5 Receptions
Gronk has at least six receptions in eight of the last nine games. As the Bucs go without two of their top three WRs and the other battles with Jalen Ramsey, Gronk might get 10 receptions here.
Tom Brady, Over 0.5 INTs
The GOAT has tossed at least one INT in seven of his last 11 games and will need to press into coverage without some of his top weapons. The Rams rank third in interceptions.
Rams vs. Buccaneers Moneyline
When it comes to NFL betting on the moneyline, favored Tampa Bay is -150 on the moneyline, while Los Angeles is set at +130. The Rams won the regular season meeting by 10 points.
I don’t expect any less in the rematch. The Bucs are down two of their top WRs, which means shutdown CB Jalen Ramsey can focus on Mike Evans, the only one left. That means more focus by everyone else on TE Rob Gronkowski. On the other side, Tampa is great at stopping the run but suspect vs. the pass. Stafford went for 343 yards and four TDs (and no INTs) in the last meeting. We can’t count out Brady from doing Brady things, but if we’re going with either moneyline side, it’s the Rams.

Rams vs. Buccaneers Point Spread
The Buccaneers are favored by three points. The Rams have covered the spread in their last five trips to Tampa and in eight of nine vs. the Bucs anywhere.
Playoff football is less about history and more about matchups, and these teams are pretty similar. One key difference: Health. The Rams are getting players back, the Bucs got a couple back on defense last week but the offense is short several weapons and their top lineman. We’re avoiding the moneyline because it’s Tom Brady, but getting a field goal with the team we expect to win straight up is tantalizing.
Rams vs. Buccaneers Totals
NFL sportsbooks have posted an Over/Under of 48.5 points for this Sunday afternoon showdown. These teams have overwhelmed most competition, especially the Buccaneers at home, who are averaging 33 ppg compared to allowing just 16.9. The Rams are more consistent regardless of locale.
The Over is 10-1 in the last 11 games the Rams have been an underdog but the Under has been the trend in Bucs games. One telling matchup pushes us more to the Over: Each team ranks in the top five in passing and bottom 10 in pass defense. Each team is going to put the ball in its QBs hands. It’s worked well all season, expect nothing less here. That makes the Over worth considering as part of your NFL picks package for the Divisional Round.
