It’s been the theme of our parlay betting season: falling just one pick short. We did it again in Week 16 as a game-ending pick-6 in the Washington-Tennessee game pushed the contest over the number and cost us with our weekly NFL betting parlay.

In Week 17, we’re focusing solely on moneyline betting with the teams that need wins to make the playoffs. Let’s see if we can cash and collect with these four:

Top NFL Week 17 Parlay Bet

Top NFL Four-Team Parlay Bet to Consider Backing in Week 17 1
New England Patriots defensive tackle Malcom Brown (90) celebrates with defensive end Trey Flowers (98).

Pick #1: New York Jets at New England Patriots (-770)

The Patriots have plenty to play for in this spot as they’ll be eyeing the No. 2 seed in the AFC. This is critical for them as they have been struggling this year – especially on the road – and they would love nothing more than avoiding as many road playoff games as possible.

The good news is this week they get to host the New York Jets, who have been fighting hard in recent weeks with Sam Darnold back under center, but have still fallen short. The Jets are coming off a particularly crushing defeat to Green Bay where they blew a 15-point fourth quarter lead.

With head coach Todd Bowles on the chopping block, it’s hard to see them getting up for this game. And even if they do, this is a team that is just 1-8 in their last nine games. Check out Patriots vs Jets betting odds.

Considering what’s on the other side – Tom Brady, at home with a chance to clinch the No. 2 seed – it’s hard to see the Jets ending up with a win at the end of the day. Take the Patriots with 888Sport.

Top NFL Four-Team Parlay Bet to Consider Backing in Week 17 2
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) catches a pass against Seattle Seahawks cornerback Justin Coleman.

Pick #2: Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-770)

The Raiders haven’t got much credit this season but they’ve been scrappy over the last month. The team that started 1-8 is now 3-3 over their last six games and – win or lose – heads into the offseason with some momentum. Check out Chiefs vs Raiders betting odds.

The issue for the Raiders is that they’re visiting the Chiefs in Week 17 and the Chiefs need a win to secure the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Chiefs have lost two straight and need to earn a win to get back on track. Considering they played the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks defenses the last two weeks, facing the Raiders unit should be a breeze.

The Raiders will fight but the Chiefs will end up with a comfortable win. Take the Chiefs with 888Sport.

Top NFL Four-Team Parlay Bet to Consider Backing in Week 17 3
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz (86) scores on a 23-yard touchdown catch against the Houston Texans cornerback Aaron Colvin.

Pick #3: Philadelphia Eagles (-305) at Washington Redskins

There is no quit in the Redskins, which makes me a tad nervous about betting the moneyline here, but I do think the Eagles are the better team. The Redskins are coming off a painful loss to Tennessee last week in a game they should have won, and have since undergone some locker room turmoil after the fact.

Pro Bowl safety D.J. Swearinger called out the play-calling after the game and the Redskins shockingly cut him. It’s quite odd for a Pro Bowl player to get cut this late in the season. Swearinger was a team leader and probably wasn’t wrong with his criticism, so a number of players in the locker room might agree.

While the Redskins are down in the dumps, the Eagles have been reinvigorated. They’ve won four of five and are playing very well with Nick Foles running the offense. Foles had 471 passing yards and four touchdowns last week. Check out latest Eagles vs Redskins betting odds.

The Eagles need a win here to keep their slim playoff hopes alive while the Redskins are merely playing for pride. I’ll take the Eagles in my parlay with 888Sport.

Top NFL Four-Team Parlay Bet to Consider Backing in Week 17 4
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey (29) celebrates with defensive back Anthony Levine (41), strong safety Tony Jefferson (23) and free safety Eric Weddle (32).

Pick #4: Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-250)

Week 17 meetings with the Cleveland Browns are usually a walk in the park but not this year. The Browns, who have won five of six, have a chance to finish with their first winning record since 2007.

The challenge is that on the other side is the Baltimore Ravens, who not only enter with the league’s No. 1 defense but also the league’s top rushing offense over the last six weeks. The Browns are merely 24th in rush defense and while I do think they’ll be a handful in this game, the Ravens will eventually pull this out.

While it’s true that the Browns have won five of six, none of the team’s they’ve defeated have a winning record. They have dropped 14 of the last 17 in this series and while Gregg Williams will have a good game plan for Lamar Jackson, the Ravens will earn the win and clinch a playoff berth. Take the Ravens with 888Sport.
