Bettors will be taking a deep look at college football odds with serious interest. College football betting sites have posted lines for dozens of games this week.

Nine of the top 10 teams in the nation are in action this week. But there are no top-10 matchups. This means oddsmakers will be trying to balance potentially large point spreads with teams who need to produce lopsided wins in the case of potential tiebreakers in determining conference title game foes. And you can expect at least one upset among the nation’s best teams this week.

Where may that be? We’ll try to find out.

Opportunities abound all week and weekend on sports betting apps. For instance, BetMGM, FanDuel and ESPN BET have posted a healthy slate of futures concerning the college football playoff and season awards.

Take a look at our favorite college football picks for Week 10 of the 2024 season. Any team rankings are from the latest AP Top 25 Poll.

College Football Week 11 Best Bets To Back Today

College Football 2024 Week 11 Odds, Predictions, Other Bets To Make Today 1

Friday, November 8
Iowa at UCLA, 9 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: UCLA’s had a rough inauguration into the Big Ten this season. The Bruins dropped their first 4 B1G games before barely slipping past Rutgers. The Hawkeyes are a mini-offensive juggernaut. At least for an Iowa team. Midwest and East Coast B1G teams struggled out West early in the season, but things have since begun to settle with the quality teams emerging. Iowa is out of the B1G race but could still grab a top-tier bowl berth. The Hawkeyes were 7-1 on the over in their first 8 games. We’re not sure they could carry any sizable total here by themselves. But they’ll cover on any number less than a touchdown. ESPN Analytics gives Iowa a 67.1% chance to win.

Best Bet: Iowa -5.5 (-110) at DraftKings

Saturday, November 9
Washington at Penn State, TBD

Buzz: The Nittany Lions rolled into their Week 10 showdown against Ohio State with a 7-0 record. But the Lions were just 3-4 ATS in those games. That’s one reason why this number is as “low” as it is. Washington is winless on the road this season having gone 0-3 straight up and ATS. They lost by 24 at Iowa and by 17 at Indiana. This one will be lopsided early. The Lions should hold on at this number. ESPN Analytics gives Penn State an 89.3% chance to win.

Best Bet: Penn State -14 (-110) at DraftKings

Saturday, November 9
Colorado at Texas Tech, TBD

Buzz: Coach Prime has the Buffaloes in contention for a spot in the Big 12 title game and a potential slot in the college football playoff. But Colorado must win out. Simply clinching a bowl berth won’t be enough this season, despite the Buffs’ turnaround. Shadeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have another opportunity for an offensive showcase here. The Buffs clipped Baylor in a 38-31 OT win on Sept. 21, while Tech got stomped by the Bears 3 weeks ago, giving up 59 points. That’s all the comp you need. Colorado is off its bye this week. The Buffs are 6-2 on the line to match a 6-2 record through 8 games. Tech visits the defensive dark hole that is No. 11 Iowa State in Week 10. ESPN Analytics gives Colorado a  67.6% chance to win.

Best Bet: Colorado -3.5 (-110) at DraftKings

Saturday, November 9
Iowa State at Kansas, TBD

Buzz: The Cyclones visit Arrowhead Stadium in this “neutral site” matchup against the Jayhawks. Iowa State visits Texas Tech in Week 10. And will clinch a spot in the Big 12 title game If they win out. Iowa State visits Kansas State to end its regular season. In the meantime, it must avoid any concern of a “trap” game here. In going 7-0 to start the season, Iowa State missed 2 covers. They failed to cover on an absurd 30-point number against North Dakota and a 38-35 win at UCF. Iowa State was -13.5 at UCF. This number is far more realistic. Especially at Arrowhead where the crowd could have a significant cardinal and gold hue. ESPN Analytics gives Iowa State a 56% chance to win.

Best Bet: Iowa State -6.5 (-110) at FanDuel

Saturday, November 9
Purdue at Ohio State, TBD

Buzz: Oregon pitched a 35-0 shutout at Purdue. That will be on the minds of the Bucks this week as they’ll need to win out for a spot in the Big Ten title games. ESPN Analytics gives Ohio State a 99% chance to win.

Best Bet: TBD  at FanDuel

Saturday, November 9
Miami at Georgia Tech, TBD

Buzz: Georgia Tech faces Miami after its bye and back-to-back losses to Notre Dame and Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes began the season 8-0 and 4-0 in the ACC ahead of their Week 10 game vs. Duke. But the Canes were just 4-3-1 ATS in those games. They haven’t been able – it not willing – to cover some big numbers. ESPN Analytics gives Miami a 75.6% chance to win.

Best Bet: TBD  at TBD

Saturday, November 9
Michigan at Indiana, TBD

Buzz: Among the major surprises of this college football season in the Big Ten, if not the nation, is the Indiana Hoosiers. Not only did Indiana open with an 8-0 record and a 5-0 start in the conference. It covered in 7 of those victories. Tying BYU as the only 2 teams with 7 covers after Week 9. Meanwhile, Michigan kept stealing money at 2-6 ATS. Indiana was averaging 15.7 points above the line ahead of its game at Michigan State. A win over Michigan would give the Hoosiers its most-impressive “statement” win of the season. And would come 2 weeks ahead of an all-the-marbles game at Ohio State. ESPN Analytics gives Indiana an 82% chance to win.

Best Bet: Indiana -9.5 (-110)  at TBD

Saturday, November 9
Clemson at Virginia Tech, TBD

Buzz: Dabo Swinney and the Tigers have roared since getting whipped 34-3 Georgia in the Kickoff Classic. They’ve scored at least 40 points in 5 of 6 games ahead of their Week 10 game at Louisville. In its 6-1 start Clemson had covered in only 4 of its first 7 games. Tech put up 28 against Boston College in the first half 3 weeks ago. But was held to just 3 scores a week later in a 21-7 win over Georgia Tech. Cade Klubnik will get the time he needs to throw here. Clemson needs to win out to keep its spot in the ACC title game. But the Tigers have played just 2 ACC games away from home. And Blacksburg can be very inhospitable. Especially to road teams trying to cover TD-sized spreads. ESPN Analytics gives Clemson a 64.3% chance to win.

Best Bet: Virginia Tech +7 (-110)  at TBD

Saturday, November 9
BYU at Utah

Buzz: Both teams roll into the Salt Lake State showdown at Rice Eccles Stadium coming off their respective byes. BYU joins Indiana as the only team to go 7-1 against the spread in its first 8 games. Cougars’ QB Jake Retzlaff leads an offense that’s scored 34 or more points in its past 6 games. He’s got 18 TD passes against just 7 interceptions for 1872 yards. BYU is ticketed for a spot in the Big 12 title game if it wins out and this could be its most difficult game remaining, especially given the gravity of the intrastate rivalry. The Utes have fallen flat this season. They’ll try to turn this one into a season-salvaging upset. But BYU’s offense won’t cooperate. ESPN Analytics gives BYU a 60.1% chance to win.

Best Bet: BYU -4.5 Points (-110)  at TBD
