Spurs Underdogs in Champions League Final Against Liverpool
Tottenham pulled off a second incredible comeback for English teams in the Champions League on Wednesday when beating Ajax 3-2 to reach this season’s final.
Spurs will play Liverpool in Madrid after Lucas Moura’s second-half hat-trick overturned a three-goal deficit in Amsterdam.
Liverpool themselves stunned Barcelona with a 4-0 triumph at Anfield on Tuesday to compete a semi-final turnaround few backed at 50/1 (+5000).
And sportsbooks are now pricing up the Champions League final, with Liverpool the early favourites to win the trophy for a sixth time.
Liverpool Favourites To Beat Spurs
Liverpool had been as far out as 20/1 (+2000) to win the Champions League trophy when they lost the first leg of their semi-final to Barcelona 3-0.
But some shrewd punters look set for a windfall if the Reds can get past Tottenham on June 1.
Liverpool are currently even-money (1/1) with BetHard to win the Champions League final within 90 minutes, while Spurs are out at 11/4 (+275) and appear the underdogs with most bookmakers.
Why are Tottenham Underdogs?
Spurs have scraped through the last two rounds of the Champions League with dramatic late finishes against Manchester City and Ajax.
But Spurs’ head-to-head record against Liverpool is unconvincing — and that seems to be swinging the early bettors fans away from backing the north London club.

Tottenham have only won one of their last 14 matches against Liverpool. This season, the Reds downed their Premier League rivals 2-1 both home and away.
These sides met in March, where a Toby Alderweireld own goal in the last-minute gifted Liverpool three points and effectively sent Spurs out of the Premier League title race.

Spurs Odds Shift
Tottenham’s odds on winning the Champions League shifted hugely on Wednesday night.
Some traders had them as high as 50/1 (+5000) to win the competition when they were 2-0 down in Amsterdam.
Incredibly, at the moment Moura scored the first of his three goals, the price dropped to 18/1 (+1800), only for the odds to tumble to 8/5 (+160) by Wednesday morning.
Paddy Power already have a price of 5/1 (+500) available for the final to be won in extra time.
As for Liverpool on penalties once again having won it in Istanbul in 2005 by such a method, that is a big outside bet at 12/1 (+1200) right now — but those odds could well come in as fans begin reminiscing of previous finals.
