Haaland Back on the Goal Trail

Erling Haaland finished last season with a goal on the final day and carried that form into preseason. Since the final day of the 2024/25 season, he's managed five goals in six goals for club and country, including three goals in four appearances at the Club World Cup.

Who Are the Best Each-Way Bets for Top Scorer?

How Many Goals Are Needed to be Premier League Top Scorer?

23 seems to be the magic number in recent years. Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane and Mo Salah topped the pile with 23 from 2020 to 2022, though the arrival of Erling Haaland saw the number of goals required shoot up.

At the higher end, 30 goals is likely to get you the Golden Boot award. Only one player has failed to finish as top goalscorer with 30 goals in a season in the last three decades. That was Harry Kane, and he managed it twice.
