Tip 1 - 2:00 Newbury - Nebras

The switch 10 furlongs from eight seemed to bring about plenty of improvement in Nebras last time out to finish second in Listed company. Raced into second from a rating of 99 and drops down to 97 in a Class 2 that could be there for the taking if enjoying those extra two furlongs again like last time. Thought good enough for a Group 1 as a two-year-old, so this shouldn’t be too tall a task for John and Thady Gosden’s colt.

Tip 2 - 2:35 Newbury - Dancing Gemini

The four-year-old campaign has been the making of Dancing Gemini, with a convincing Listed win at Doncaster in March before winning in some style in the Group 2 bet365 Mile at Sandown last month. Is only up two pounds from that and is likely to be a huge player, even considering he’s coming up against last year’s 2000 Guineas winner and runner-up in Notable Speech and Rosallion.

Tip 3 - 3:10 Newbury - Ecstatic

Aidan O’Brien has dominated the classic trials this season, and he’s fancied to land another with Ecstatic. This daughter of Magic Wand was bitterly disappointing last time out at Navan, but the soft ground that day was deemed to be responsible. Back on a sound surface here, and indeed in a lower grade than she’s been contesting, against unproven opposition stepping up in class, she’ll take a lot of beating.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
