Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:03 Newcastle - Oakley Boy

Some interesting horses here that look like they have some reasonable potential. Dandy Magic won on all-weather debut here last time out over a furlong further, with the second home winning twice since, but it is Oakley Boy who holds most appeal. He won at Lingfield in November over five furlongs and then found six to be just too far when a narrow second at Wolverhampton two weeks later. The first home that day has gone in again since, to frank the form of finishing just under a length behind. Back to five furlongs should suit nicely.

Tip 2 - 1:15 Taunton - The Hardest Geezer

The Hardest Geezer can get off the mark over hurdles after running well in his two spins over jumps, but each time he has seen one with a bit of potential turn up. He was only 5½ lengths behind the now 135 rated Royal Infantry at Chepstow in November so there is clearly some ability in there.

Tip 3 - 1:33 Newcastle - Percy Willis

Three of Percy Willis’ six career wins have come over course and distance, with the most recent of them being off a pound higher mark last March. Trainer Jedd O’Keeffe’s horses have been running well of late without managing to get their head in front, but conditions should be optimal for Percy Willis today. He’s tactically versatile to boot, which will be an advantage in this small field.

Tip 4 - 1:45 Taunton – Largy Force

Largy Force returned to action after 244 days out just before Christmas to record a third-placed finish at Hereford over the same distance, her first run since having wind surgery and continued her record of placing in the top three in every race in her career. Soft ground here should help her out and experience of this distance could give her the edge in what will likely be a tightly-packed race.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
