Tip 1 - 1:45 Newton Abbot - Bourbali

Gunning for a first chase victory since October, Bourbali has put together a number of solid runs in that time with three thirds and garnered plenty of experience at this grade over this distance. Finishing does remain an issue for this eight-year-old but he boasts three wins at 2m4f or higher, so clearly has the staying power that he will hopefully demonstrate today.

Tip 2 - 2:05 Chester - Ruby’s Profit

Ruby’s Profit may be drawn wider than ideal for Chester, in stall 6, but she might just have the early gears for it not to matter. After signing off her 2yo campaign with a solid third in a Newmarket sales race, she reappeared with an electric win at Wolverhampton last month. It’s quite possible she’ll end up a level above this, and at the prices, it’s worth taking a punt despite the draw and likely competition for the lead.

Tip 3 - 3:40 Chester - Cabelleroso

A mark of 89 looks workable for Cabelleroso who made a solid debut at the track in May last year. This is his first try in handicap company, but there are reasons to believe the form of his novice stakes win leaves him on handy rating. The second that day has won since, and the horse back in third has twice found the winners enclosure and is now rated 87.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
