Tip 1 - 2:05 Haydock - Got Grey

Dan Skelton is continuing to do all he can to hold off Willie Mullins in the trainers’ championship, and this could well be another he’s been targeting. Got Grey’s bare form doesn’t amount to much this year, but there’s a suspicion that may have been a ploy to get his mark down. Seen to best effect with a tongue tie in, which has been returned for the first time since last year, and Harry Skelton also returns on board. Back down to 110, which should be more than manageable.

Tip 2 - 3:00 Musselburgh - Cover Up

Cover Up returns to handicapping after a winter campaign in Dubai, where he won a Listed race and placed in a Group 2. He was fourth in a Group 3 last time out and is down two pounds for that effort despite finishing within one-and-a-half lengths. When last seen in this sort of company, he won at Doncaster. Is versatile ground-wise to have won on soft and good ground so today’s good to soft conditions should suit for a really big run.

Tip 3 - 3:39 Huntingdon - Tara Iti

Indemnity on handicap hurdle debut looks to be a danger here, as we really don’t know what he could be. However, we go for more of a known quantity in seven-year-old Tara Iti. Won handily last time out at Plumpton and has finished inside the top three in all four races over hurdles for the yard since switching in March. Has decent course form of 312 here, and with crack claimer Freddie Mitchell taking three pounds off, he should be very competitive.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
