Tip 1 - 2:25 Brighton - Rebel Star

A winner at Yarmouth under two months ago, Rebel Star has gone close multiple times since and most recently finished second behind today’s favourite Pop Dancer over C&D. However, the four-year-old showed more than enough in that race to be worthy of consideration today, especially as both horse and jockey know now the assignment facing them at the top of the market.

Tip 2 - 3:10 Southwell - French Symphony

Ben Pauling’s French Symphony is getting lower and lower in the weights, and has form from earlier in his career which suggests he could be effective of this sort of mark. A first spin over fences could bring about the last bit of improvement needed, as well as a boost from cheekpieces being worn for the first time.

Tip 3 - 4:02 Brighton - Noble Guest

Buy The Dip is a dual course-and-distance winner so is a danger, but we buy into the improving Noble Guest’s fortunes despite being a nine-race maiden. Drops into a 0-68 for the first time after a fine second last time out in a 0-75. Trainer George Margarson has a +31.00 level stakes profit all time with three-year-olds on turf, so we’re backing Noble Guest to get underway at the fourth time of asking at this age on turf.

Tip 4 - 4:15 Southwell - Betty's Tiara

A lot of guesswork involved in this one. Jumper Watt and Final Straw are both on their first run under rules, Tree Top Tyson is having his first run over hurdles, and Ilestdancingspirit is on just his third run in over two years. Betty’s Tiara has shown a solid level of form over timber without getting her head in front. Rated 108, she should show the benefit of a wind op and two-month break for a yard that hasn’t had a runner finish outside the first three in over two weeks.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
