Tip 1 - 3:05 Ascot - Rebel's Romance

Rebel's Romance has visited more countries than Phileas Fogg, but that hasn’t stopped him winning almost everywhere he's raced. The majestic seven-year-old has 17 career wins from 25 races and is 12 of 16 over today’s distance, with regular jockey William Buick on board again after recording another victory in the pair’s last outing: a Grade 2 win in the Yorkshire Cup last month.

Tip 2 - 3:40 Ascot - Topgear

Topgear is a really interesting contender who hasn’t raced this distance since his two-year-old campaign. Came alive last season with a Group 3 success at Longchamp before destroying the field - including 113-rated Royal Scotsman - by over five lengths on only visit on these shores so far at Newmarket in October. Seasonal reappearance was a Group 3 success last month, and he could be way overpriced at his 8/1 at the time of writing so long as six furlongs isn’t too stiff a distance.

Tip 3 - 4:20 Ascot - Marvelman

Marvelman looks like he is getting better with every run and might bring the best piece of form into this race. In his run last time out, he was second behind Cosmic Year, getting closer to that horse than current favourite for the race Comanche Brave managed. Should he manage to settle a little better than he did during that race, this could be there for the taking.

Tip 4 - 6:10 Ascot - Samui

If he turns up just four days after his Royal Ascot run earlier in the week, Samui appears to have a cracking chance. He finished third over 1m6f, leaving the impression that he’d be suited by further. He’s one of the better-treated horses in the race, even aside from the fact that he’s likely to be bumped up a couple of pounds for his efforts on Tuesday. Sober, from the Willie Mullins yard, has an obvious chance, but needs to prove he stays this far as well as his ability to handle quick ground. He’s worth taking on.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
