Tip 1 - 1.50 Newmarket - Indian Springs

After running green and making eyecatching late progress on debut, the well bred Indian Springs steps up to seven furlongs for his first run on turf. Being closely related to a number of impressive types, it would be a huge shock to see him take a big step forward, and reach a level nothing else in the field can match.

Tip 2 - 2.10 Cheltenham – Lagonda

Although this represents a much stiffer test of her abilities, Lagonda comes into this in fine form with a win and two seconds in her last three outings. All six of her trips this season, none of which have seen her come lower than third, have been at either the 3m or 3m1f mark and she looks well-equipped to compete with worthy favourite Coco Mademoiselle in this one.

Tip 3 - 3:10 Ripon - Far Above The Law

The reappearance win for Green Pursuit shows he’s in decent nick, but the best form from last year looks like it was from the consistent Far Above The Law. Won a Chepstow maiden before three placed efforts in better grades. The second of which was a Class 2 at York, with all the main protagonists rated 87 and above now, and today being a 0-80. The sixth home that day has since won a Listed race and run in Group company. The ground getting ever firmer will only help, and if in fine fettle on reappearance, he should go close.

Tip 4 - 3:55 Cheltenham - Sainte Tartare

The Mares’ Novice form from the Cheltenham Festival on display here, but what’s on offer doesn’t look like any great shakes. Metkayina looks best of those, but she’ll likely need to improve to beat Sainte Tartare. Willie Mullins’ mare was an impressive winner at Limerick in January, although she didn’t beat much. It’s likely we know how good most of these are, with the exception of Sainte Tartare. Considering her connections, she looks like a bit of value.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
