It looks like Arabian Leopard’s connections are still trying to find the perfect distance for their three-year-old. She’s been tried at six and seven furlongs, as well as one ill-fated go at a mile. She’s mostly been bridesmaid this season with one win and four further places, three times when going off as favourite. Has been beaten by a couple of these by short distances but opposes favourably in the weights and could go well at a course she’s enjoyed before.

Tip 3 - 3:25 Listowel - Shaboozee

Joseph O’Brien might hold the keys to this race. He’s got last season’s Fred Winter winner, Puturhandstogether, but he appears to have gone off the boil since, including when disappointing favourite for the Galway Hurdle. His other runner, Shaboozee, looks very interesting. A wide-margin winner of a four-year-old handicap last month, he may have needed that winning distance to get into this much stronger race. He’s got in with a nice, low racing weight and looks to be very much on the up.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
