Tip 1 - 2:30 Hamilton - A War Eagle

A War Eagle has shown consistent form in three career runs without really looking like picking up a win. This son of Make Believe should appreciate the step up in trip, and could show the benefits of a recent gelding operation. The Bethell yard continues to be in good form, with eight of their last 13 runners hitting the frame. Expect A War Eagle to go close.

Tip 2 - 3:00 Hamilton - Arkenstaar

Arkenstaar looks like he has been campaigned perfectly to pick up this race for the second year running. He won this race last year off a 2lb lower mark after being dropped for his last run in which he got into a bit of trouble late and probably wasn’t pushed out at the finish. A win today would be his sixth from nine visits to the track.

Tip 3 - 3:10 Beverley - Saliko

Saliko returned to action three weeks ago on stable debut with a second place over 7f at Brighton, her first run since October, and has every chance of faring better here at a grade lower. The three-year-old has just four runs to her name but has been in the top three on three of those, and the recent change in trainer may yet see further progression.

Tip 4 - 3:30 Hamilton - Mae Amor

Showed promise as a two-year-old with a decent second at Thirsk over the minimum distance before winning at Wolverhampton on the all-weather in November. Second home that day is now rated 87, meaning Mae Amor’s 77 could be a handy mark. Made seasonal reappearance with a reasonable third place at Ripon 10 days ago and should be fresher for that today.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
