Tip 1 - 2:20 Lingfield - Star Legend

Star Legend arrives here in search of a hat-trick, on the back of wins at Catterick and Chelmsford. James Owen’s gelding should have no trouble with the switch back to the all-weather, having won or placed in eight of his 15 career starts on artificial surfaces. Elizabeth Gale takes off seven pounds, which will be a massive help, considering he’s top weight.

Tip 2 - 2:42 Hamilton - Hurt You Never

Hurt You Never is a prolific winner, especially at Hamilton where his record reads two wins from three attempts. His sole defeat at the track was his last run where he fluffed the start, so it is interesting to see him turned out again so quickly off a 1lb lower mark. Claimer Jack Nicholls gets the ride, and he was on board for Hurt You Never’s two other wins at the track.

Tip 3 - 3:00 Uttoxeter - Lady Jago

A convincing 3/1 winner over fences made it three chase victories for Lady Jago, all of which have come in her last four outings. That last win came over 2m4f and she clearly had more left in the tank, as evidenced by her Class 4 win at Wincanton over 3m1f at the back end of March, and Harry Skelton back aboard lends further attraction to backing this six-year-old.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
