Kylian Mbappe's contract dispute with Paris Saint-Germain means that the forward has now been barred from training with the club. The Ligue 1 champions seem to think that Mbappe has agreed a free transfer deal with Real Madrid. while the player's management team have not taken up an offer to discuss a contract which would allow the Frenchman to leave for a fee next summer.

We're therefore at something of an impasse, with Mbappe transfer odds holding steady right now. That means that Real Madrid are still slight favourites to have this player for the 2023/24 season, although they're by no means certain to get their man.

While it's true that Liverpool have been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe, it appears that there's little substance in the transfer rumours linking the Frenchman to the Merseyside club.

However, Real Madrid remain well-placed to capture the world-leading forward, with the Spanish club having a €160m agreement in place with Mbappe, according to the latest reports.

We know that the 2018 World Cup winner won't sign a new contract at Paris Saint-Germain and that he'll also become a free agent in 2024. It now appears that PSG might report Real Madrid to FIFA for tapping up a player who is still contracted to the French champions until next summer.

On face value, it still looks as though Real Madrid are going to land the signature of Kylian Mbappe this summer. Although Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal recently had a bid accepted by Paris Saint-Germain, the forward refused to hold talks with the Pro League club when representatives were in the French capital. It's now down to Real to table an acceptable bid to capture one of the world's most exciting talents, and they're expected to lodge an offer very soon.

Despite rumours of English Premier League clubs such as Liverpool being interested in signing Mbappe, it appears clear that the Frenchman will be playing for either Real Madrid or alternatively remain with Paris Saint-Germain despite a recent clash between club and player.

Al Hilal have now completely drifted on the market, with a move to Saudi Arabia virtually dead in the water, considering Mbappe still feels as though he has things to achieve in Europe.

Real Madrid are still waiting in the wings and hoping to get a deal over the line. The latest football betting odds suggest that the Spanish giants are going to table an offer for a forward that they have been chasing for a reasonable amount of time.

It's the latest twist in an ongoing saga, with Mbappe hoping to leave PSG this summer. The forward has been left out of the club's pre-season tour of Asia, with the owners unhappy that the player has not signed a new contract at the Parc Des Princes. PSG have been accused of moral harassment by unions, and Real Madrid are now trading at odds-on.

PSG have reportedly offered the forward an incredible 10-year contract worth in the region of €1 billion. This represents the biggest sports contract of all time, although there have previously been noises that Mbappe doesn't want to sign a new PSG deal and the fact that he's not in Asia with the rest of the squad means we have hit an impasse.

The France international has a year left on his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, with the forward recently informing the Ligue 1 club that he has no intention of signing a new deal to stay in the French capital. It's the latest twist in an ongoing saga between the player and club, with Real Madrid and Manchester United on high alert to capture the forward. The latest odds suggest that the Bernabeu is an increasingly likely destination, while rumours of a move to Arsenal appear to be well wide of the mark.

Real have reportedly been close to signing Mbappe in the past, and they might look to follow up the signing of England midfielder Jude Bellingham with an even bigger marquee transfer. The latest football betting odds now suggest that a switch to the Spanish capital could be on the cards, although there are reports that the player wants an annual salary over £200 million.

The bookies have been switching their Kylian Mbappe transfer odds throughout the summer. Real Madrid have now become favourites to capture the forward compared to him staying at PSG, with the PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi stating that Mbappe needs to sign a new contract to stay at the club.

Madrid Calling for Ronaldo Fan?

It appears that Real Madrid are going to make a fresh bid for the PSG forward, with the Ligue 1 outfit preparing to receive an offer that is likely to be rejected. If Paris Saint-Germain accept they have to allow Mbappe to make the switch to the Spanish capital, then it simply remains for the two clubs to agree terms.

In the summer of 2021, Real Madrid made a £145 million attempt to sign Kylian Mbappe, and it appeared as though the French forward would be making the switch to the Spanish champions before making a U-turn. A new lucrative contract was agreed in May that actually gave Mbappe powers within the club, although some media outlets later reported that the player felt as though this was a mistake.

Mbappe was reportedly given assurances when signing a new deal that weren't kept. That included the club not signing a striker so the Frenchman could play just off a front man, along with the non-sale of Neymar, whose presence in the squad is reportedly a cause of consternation to Mbappe.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, French football expert Julien Laurens said last year: "He feels betrayed by the club in the sense that all the things the club promised him when he signed that new deal until 2025 have not happened. The promises they would sign a new striker so he could play in his best position off the striker, that Neymar wouldn't be there and he would be sold, that they would sign a centre-back, and he would be at the centre of the project. All of these things have not happened.

"We knew there were tensions, and now he has made his mind up and he doesn't want to be there. He feels he made a mistake by extending his contract, and he should have left in the summer. Now he is looking at the January transfer window at where he could go."

We've now reached the summer and football betting sites have reopened a Kylian Mbappe Next Club betting market, with Real Madrid now odds-on to capture the forward's signature, with the forward ready to test himself with the Spanish giants and break away from PSG once and for all.

Real Madrid look likely to sign Kylian Mbappe sooner or later, with Los Blancos having been long-term admirers of the World Cup winner, who idolised Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo while growing up. They are favourites in the latest football betting markets.

"Mbappe really wants to go to Madrid", his former team-mate Jese Rodriguez said in 2021. "He began to [watch] Madrid when he was 16 years old; Cristiano was his idol. He loves Madrid, and I am sure he will play there one day."

Could Liverpool Genuinely Land Mbappe?

Some Liverpool fans are taking the latest rumours with a pinch of salt, although it does appear that the Merseyside outfit have an outside chance of landing Kylian Mbappe. The Daily Mirror are among the newspapers to have reported that Liverpool have held talks with Paris Saint-Germain, with the Ligue 1 club being concerned that the forward might leave for Real Madrid in a year's time for no transfer fee.

Therefore, it could be that Liverpool are able to secure a one-year loan deal for the player who is apparently open to a move to the English Premier League. It's notable that the Reds' betting odds have shortened on this transfer betting market, although it's hard to see how the club can sign Mbappe and still keep the rest of the attacking players in the squad happy.

Mbappe has recently spoken of his admiration for Liverpool, although we can't help but feel as though this is just paper talk and that PSG will want Real Madrid to alternatively stump up a transfer fee for this world-class talent.

Could Al-Hilal Land Mbappe This Summer?

The big problem for any Mbappe suitors is the fact that they would have to stump up an astronomical transfer fee for the player. There would also be the massive salary and bonus that would have to form part of any contract. However, some of the clubs in the Saudi Pro League wouldn't have any issues as far as this is concerned, including Al-Hilal.

Al Hilal have recently lodged a staggering £259 million bid for the 2022 World Cup top scorer, with the ball now in the court of Mbappe when it comes to his future destination. It appears the forward is not keen on moving to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career, with the 24-year-old potentially looking to remain in Europe and that explains why Real Madrid are favourites to sign him.

However, while there might be a financial impediment to Real landing Mbappe, the same can't be said of this Saudi Arabian Pro League outfit who are prepared to pay untold wages for a player who wasn't expected to come on the market for them at this stage.

Manchester United a Possible English Destination

Aside from Real Madrid, it appears that Premier League club Manchester United are the other club that could be in the running to sign Kylian Mbappe. The north-west club could be under new ownership for the 2023/24 season, and they will certainly be on a recruitment drive after a successful campaign saw them finish third.

With Casemiro and Raphael Varane having arrived from Real Madrid last summer, United will now be looking to bolster their attacking options, and it's patently clear that Mbappe would add a different dimension to the team. We're talking about arguably the most exciting forward in the world, although the English side would have to stump up a king's ransom to sign him this summer.

UK betting sites think there is an outside chance that Mbappe will be making his way to Manchester in the summer, but perhaps his salary and total package might dissuade United from being in the final running.

Chelsea's Spending Power Could See Them Bid for Mbappe

Chelsea are under new ownership since Kylian Mbappe was last on the market, and Todd Boehly is clearly someone used to getting his own way. The American has already managed to capture Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling since taking charge, and he could be very keen to acquire a French forward who could be a future Ballon d'Or winner.

The London club have drifted in the market to land his signature, although they will be keeping tabs on the player now that he appears to be eyeing an exit from the Parc des Princes once again. Chelsea already have a huge squad of international players, but still lack firepower despite spending big last summer.

The signing of Mbappe would truly be a box-office moment for a club who are aiming to compete for Premier League titles and Champions League crowns over the coming seasons. Whether Chelsea would be able to make a deal work with Financial Fair Play is another matter.

Could Manchester City Be Even More Lethal with Mbappe?

Manchester City got their man last summer when Erling Haaland arrived at the Etihad Stadium in the summer from Dortmund, and they have struck gold with a forward who scored goals at an alarming rate for the club's domestic and continental rivals.

Having secured Haaland's signature, it might be that City are ready to go after their next target, and Kylian Mbappe looks like a player who could fit Pep Guardiola's style of playing. With his pace and trickery, he could attract plenty of interest despite the presence of Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish in those attacking midfield positions.

Mbappe has potentially not reached peak form and might be drawn to City simply so that he can work with Guardiola, who has a wealth of silverware that has been earned with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now the English champions.

Bayern Munich and Arsenal Also On Red Alert

Bayern Munich made a marquee signing in the form of Sadio Mane last summer, and perhaps they will now look to bolster their attacking options by securing the signature of Mbappe who could potentially link with compatriot Kingsley Coman at the Allianz Arena. Manager Thomas Tuchel is looking to build a squad for the future and the PSG star would help him achieve his aims more quickly.

Arsenal might be a less likely suitor considering they're not in the habit of spending the big bucks to lure players, although there's little doubt the Gunners are making strides under Mikel Arteta, and that makes them a more attractive proposition.
