Tip 1 - 3:00 Haydock - Arizona Blaze

Arizona Blaze is a young sprinter who could well progress to the very top level. He signed off his juvenile campaign with a cracking effort at the Breeders’ Cup, finishing second. His three three-year-old runs to date have been impressive in their own right. A bloodless success on seasonal debut at Dundalk was followed by a placed effort when not staying over seven furlongs at Leopardstown and then romping to victory in a Chantilly Group 3. He’s the highest-rated of these and will take a lot of beating.

Tip 2 - 3:05 Curragh - Iberian

After being tried over longer distances Iberian looks to have found his calling at six furlongs. A battling win on the all-weather in December was followed by a great effort in defeat next time out, just going down by a head to Spycatcher. That pipe opener will have him right for his coming off the back of a short break, and he should be able to take the spoils for Charlie Hills.

Tip 3 - 3:15 Goodwood - Queen Of Thieves

Last time out finished seventh of seven and tailed off badly after leading initially. With no explanation for the poor form from the yard or the vets, she is brought in Listed company again. This tells us John and Thady Gosden think she has something about her despite the run at Chester. Steps back down to 10 furlongs, which should suit this three-year-old out of Frankel. We’re willing to wager that last race was too bad to be true.

Tip 4 - 3:20 Beverley - Palazzo Persico

Don’t be fooled by Palazzo Persico’s recent runs that saw him finish 10th and eighth – second-from-last in both – as he has a lot more to give. The four-year-old is a three-time winner at this grade, including in December when he won comfortably at Chelmsford, and returning to Class 6 might just be the ticket required to get back into the winner’s circle.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
