Tip 1 - 2:10 Chester - Never So Brave

It’s hard to know what to expect from some of the market principals, with a few of them returning from a break. One of those is Never So Brave, who looked like a horse with the world at his feet when romping to victory over course and distance a year ago for the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute. Things didn’t quite go to plan in the four runs since, but a return here on his first start for Andrew Balding should set him up for a productive season in higher grades.

Tip 2 - 2:23 Haydock - Leovanni

This looks a fairly hot race, but we will side with the least experienced of the horses in three-year-old Leovanni who won and placed in Group 2 company last season before flopping on soft ground in a Group 1. Won on debut so we know she should be good to go fresh, and expected dry weather could make the going closer to her preferred good to firm. Surface is likely to be too quick for market leader No Half Measures, so Richard Hughes’ filly could be the one to follow.

Tip 3 - 2:40 York - Zayer

Zayer made excellent progress in his debut season last year, going from winning a Class 4 race to competing in Class 1 races inside three weeks and could be set for further advancement Saturday. His fourth place at Sandown last time out wasn’t telling of his ability but perhaps did enough to shake off the cobwebs after almost 200 days off, and Hollie Doyle back in the saddle adds to confidence.

Tip 4 - 3:15 York - Term Of Endearment

This doesn’t look like the hottest renewal of this race with no out-and-out superstar in the field, so the consistent Term Of Endearment can pick up the spoils for a second year. She might have finished seventh last time out in Meydan, but that was a much deeper race than this, and the two miles probably stretched her stamina. Back over a shorter distance and at a course she likes, it will take a big effort to stop her winning this race again.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
