Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:40 Newmarket - See The Fire

There are some fabulous horses in this six-runner Group 1, and with conditions drying up in the area, we should be in for a great race. At the time of writing, Tamfana tops the betting after a confident win in the Atlanta Stakes at Sandown under Oisin Murphy. He has, however, chosen to go with See The Fire, who was equally impressive at York last time out. Murphy this season has a level stakes profit of £18.86 on three-year-olds on turf. Let’s side with his confidence.

Tip 2 - 3:00 Ascot - Apollo One

It’s been almost two years since Apollo One won, but he’s been desperately close in a number of top races in that time. He’s twice been second in the Stewards’ Cup at Glorious Goodwood, as well as filling the runner-up spot in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot last year, and the Portland Handicap at Doncaster last month. He deserves one of these, and despite being the most exposed runner in the field, has proven he handles six furlongs on soft ground, and looks sure to give his running at a big price.

Tip 3 - 4:10 Ascot - Elim

The fast improving Elim will take some stopping here if she continues her recent progress. Edward Bethall’s four-year-old ran a great race last time out in similarly soft conditions but was left too much to do from her position at the rear of the field. With more positive tactics this time round, she will be able to make better use of her stamina to scoop this big Saturday prize.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
