Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:20 Cheltenham - The Yellow Clay

This goes against the betting market with Final Demand and The New Lion both vying for favouritism, which opens up a nice price for The Yellow Clay in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle. The Gordon Elliott-trained runner is a perfect four-from-four this season, stepping up a grade in each of its last three, and most recently won the Lawlor’s of Naas Novice Hurdle, which was also won by previous Turners Novices’ Hurdle winners Envoi Allen and Bob Olinger.

Tip 2 - 2:40 Cheltenham - Comfort Zone

Like most towards the top of the betting, Comfort Zone comes into this fairly fresh, lacking a recent run, presumably to protect his handicap mark. He was last seen at Leopardstown just after Christmas, finishing third in a major handicap. Before that, he impressively won a top handicap on the flat off a mark of 86. That suggests his current rating of 137 could well be within his range, and he looks to have a massive chance.

Tip 3 - 3:20 Cheltenham - Galvin

Galvin is long in the tooth at 11 years of age and hasn’t won since October 2022. However, that means he’s nicely handicapped now off his last winning mark and a pound lower than when a great fourth at the Grand National last year. Was second in this last year to former stable mate Delta Work from a mark of 166. If he still has something left in the tank, he should be bang there off 154.

Tip 4 - 4:00 Cheltenham - Solness

There can’t be many horses at this year’s Festival getting less respect than Solness. He has won back-to-back Grade 1s on his last two starts, running at an early pace the rest of the field was unable to live with. Short price favourites in the Champion Chase have a terrible record in recent years, so Jonbon is worth taking on, and will go after him with the horse with the best Irish form.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
