FanDuel Offers Free Contest for Breeders’ Cup 2020 Mile

FanDuel is offering a free contest for the 37th running of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships this weekend at Keeneland Race Course.
The official wagering partner of the Breeders’ Cup, FanDuel will be offering the $1 Perfect Finish Free Play. It gives players the chance to win $1 million by accurately predicting the full finishing order of the FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Mile presented by the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, according to a news release.
The race, which pits some of the world’s best grass milers around two turns on the turf for horses 3 years old and older, is race 9 of Saturday’s 12-race card. Post time is tentatively scheduled for 3:15 p.m. ET at the track in Lexington, Kentucky.
“FanDuel has been offering free daily fantasy contests to our customers around horse racing’s marquee events and we are capping off a successful year with a special $1 million free to play contest to celebrate TVG and FanDuel’s partnership with the Breeders’ Cup,” Matt King, CEO of FanDuel, said in the news release. “FanDuel Group is committed to growing the sport and fantasy contests for horse racing are a great way to bring new fans to horse racing’s premier event.”
Contest Open Until Post Time
The contest, live on FanDuel.com and open until post time of the race, asks fans of horse racing betting to slot each of the field’s competing horses into a finishing position of 1 through 14, the release said.
Entrants will collect points for each horse whose placement they correctly predict, with $20,000 in cash prizes awarded to the top 3,100 participants on the leaderboard, according to the release. If anyone can correctly predict the finishing order of all 14 horses in the FanDuel Breeder’s Cup Mile, they will win or share the $1 Million prize.

FanDuel Group, which includes the 24-hour horse racing network TVG and FanDuel brands, became an official partner of the Breeders’ Cup in 2019 and this marks the first year the company has sponsored the Breeders’ Cup Mile.
