Jose Mourinho will be confident of another three points on Saturday against a relegation threatened Clarets side.
Premier League leaders Chelsea welcome strugglers Burnley to Stamford Bridge this weekend and this could prove to be a relatively routine victory for the Blues. Mourinho’s side have dropped just two points in the last five outings whilst the Lancashire side have managed just four points over the same period.
We’ll be expecting yet another excellent performance from the league leaders in what looks set to be a one-sided encounter, however the home side will have to contend with several injuries and suspensions. Diego Costa will play no part in this encounter following his four match ban which was imposed for the stamp on Emre Can. Midfielders Oscar and Fabregas also remain doubtful for this clash as does John Obi Mikel who is suffering from a knee injury.
Nevertheless, Burnley will be in no doubt as to the task ahead of them and following their 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in their last outing, they won’t exactly be full of confidence coming into this match.
Indeed, the Clarets have some tricky matches in the coming few weeks including a trip to Anfield followed by a visit from Manchester City, therefore points are desperately needed should Burnley wish to avoid slipping further into the relegation zone.
Realistically, we don’t think that they will get anything from this match. Indeed, such will be the dominance of the home side that the Clarets will struggle to get onto the goal-sheet and as such we’ll be backing a Chelsea win-to-nil at 10/11 with Sky Bet.
There will be goals in this match, however they will all be for the home side and we’re going for over 2.5 goals at 4/7 with Paddy Power. Chelsea have scored in every match since late November and they should find it relatively easy going against the worst defence in the Premier League.
