Crystal Palace v Liverpool betting tips – Reds will go through to the quarter-final

Liverpool can move a step closer to some silverware at Selhurst Park this weekend

Selhurst park hasn't been kind to Liverpool over the last few seasons, however they can get their first win in six attempts when they face the Eagles in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Liverpool are in top form at the moment and with just one defeat in their last fifteen outings, they will be in high spirits coming into this match. They edged past Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in the midweek Premier League match and should be able to repeat that feat at Selhurst Park this weekend.

Memories will be cast back to last season when Liverpool threw away a 3-0 lead in South London in the closing eleven minutes of the match to finish 3-3. Earlier this season, the Reds succumbed to a 3-1 defeat when they visited the Eagles in November, so can they put this hoodoo behind them on Saturday evening?

We think that they can. The visitors are favourites to win this match and despite Palace improving immeasurably following the arrival of Alan Pardew from Newcastle United, it will perhaps be a step too far for the Selhurst Park outfit.

Pardew has proven himself worthy of his ‘returning hero’ status and he has steered the side to wins in all but two of his seven games in charge. Nevertheless, we don’t fancy their chances of making it six wins from eight and as such, we’ll be firmly in the Liverpool camp when it comes to the betting market.

Goals tend to flow when these two sides meet and as such we’ll be backing both teams to score and over 3.5 goals, however the obvious bet for us is a simple Liverpool win. Brendan Rodgers has turned around the fortunes of a side which looked set for a finish in the bottom half of the league table and they should prove too hot for Pardew’s side to handle.

Our betting tips

Liverpool win, both teams to score – Coral  10/3
