The team at PlayUp has opted for a bold, modern design. It features light gray text on a black background, with lots of green flourishes to brighten things up. There is no search function, so you have to use the navigation system to find a particular game you want to bet on, but it is intuitively designed and user-friendly. Pages load quickly and there are lots of shortcuts, so you should be able to find games with ease. The betting pages are laid out in a neat and tidy fashion, and the bet slip is easy to use, with sections for parlays, teasers, open bets and cashout options.

The PlayUp app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. It follows a similar design and layout to the website, with lots of shortcuts to speed up the navigation process. We found it to be user-friendly and well-designed when we tested it out for this PlayUp Sportsbook review, it definitely makes the list of best mobile sports betting apps. It has not had many user ratings yet, but reviews have been broadly positive, with sports bettors praising the layout and the ease of navigation.

You will be required to use GeoComply in tandem with the PlayUp app. This proves that you are located in a state in which PlayUp Sportsbook is legal and licensed when using the app. You will find a list of apps within GeoComply, and you can simply turn PlayUp Sportsbook to “Always” or “When Using the App” in the location services section to ensure you have no problems with compliance.

You can place live bets on a broad selection of sporting events at PlayUp Sportsbook. As an example, we found in-play wagering on Swedish women’s basketball, hockey in Finland, soccer in Thailand, tennis in Tunisia, rugby in France, cricket in India and table tennis in Russia when conducting this PlayUp review. You will find lots of live betting options on football, basketball, baseball and hockey games, but there is no live streaming.

Cash Out

PlayUp Sportsbook features a cash out option, which allows you to end your bets before the event has finished. If your bet is on course to win, but you fear your team will fall apart, you can lock in a guaranteed profit. If your wager happens to be losing, you may be able to claw back some of your risk amount.

Same-Game Parlays

You can create same-game parlays on football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer at PlayUp. That is great, because many sportsbooks only offer same game parlays on football and soccer, while others do not include this feature. It allows you to combine multiple selections within a game, and the odds increase as you add more legs to the parlay.

You will find a strong selection of betting options on big games at PlayUp, including sides, totals, moneylines, game props, player props, halves, quarters and periods. You can create parlays, same game parlays, teasers and round robins, and choose from a long list of futures betting options on several sports. The only thing missing is a selection of alternative spreads and totals.

Minimum Bet

The minimum bet at PlayUp Sportsbook is $1.

Maximum Bet

The maximum bet at PlayUp Sportsbook varies according to the sport, league and game you want to wager on. You can click the “Max” button on the bet slip to see the maximum stake permitted on any selection.

Reduced Juice

PlayUp is not a reduced juice sportsbook, as it charges $0.10 on either side of the spread or total line.

PlayUp has a relatively small selection of deposit and withdrawal options compared to most sports betting sites. However, the process is smooth, quick and convenient, and payouts are secure and reliable.

The PlayUp payout speeds depend upon which of the PlayUp payout options you select. A withdrawal via VIP Preferred takes 3-5 business days, but it will take just one business day if you opt for Play+ or Skrill. Some sportsbooks take several days to process and approve payout requests, so PlayUp is quicker than many of its competitors.

PlayUp has secured market access deals for Colorado, Indiana, Iowa and New Jersey. It went live in Colorado and New Jersey first, but we should expect to see PlayUp Sportsbook launches in Indiana and Iowa soon, followed by additional states.

PlayUp Sportsbook went live for New Jersey betting in 2021 with a 100% deposit match welcome bonus offer. It operates on the master license of Freehold Racetrack, a joint venture between Penn National Gaming and the company that runs Parx Casino in Pennsylvania. PlayUp is also the official sports betting partner of the New Jersey Devils.

The PlayUp Sportsbook in Colorado also launched in 2021, with a generous welcome offer for sports fans in the state. It operates on Bull Durham Casino’s master license.

PlayUp may eventually try to expand into Arizona, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest sports betting markets in the country. There are 20 available online sports wagering licenses in Arizona, and most have already been issued. Operators are required to ink market access deals with tribes or sports venues, so PlayUp would need to find a partner quickly in order to launch in Arizona.

PlayUp runs a comprehensive online racebook in Australia and other countries. The PlayUp horse racing section is integrated into the sportsbook, so it could follow suit in the United States, or tag on an additional racebook section. PlayUp Group acquired an advance deposit wagering license from the North Dakota Racing Commission in 2019. The license immediately granted PlayUp’s horse racing platform access to as many as 20 states, but it has not yet expounded on its plans for the US market.

PlayUp has an additional offering called PlayUp Slots+, which is now available to play slots in Michigan, Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont & Wisconsin. Customers purchase spins on a slot, and PlayUp places your wagers legally on real life events. They are placed into pools and your winnings are then determined. It does not offer a traditional online casino.

PlayUp Sportsbook is not currently offering a loyalty program.

PlayUp is one of the few online sportsbooks to offer a customer support phone line. Most online sports betting sites only offer live chat or email, so it is nice to be able to talk to an agent over the phone. It does not currently have a live chat service, but it says that one is coming soon. On the downside, customer service is not available 24/7, as the office only opens from 9 a.m. to 11.p.m. ET each day. The PlayUp website and app are heavily encrypted, so your personal and financial details will be kept secure. PlayUp sports betting, horse racing and PlayUp daily fantasy sports products have been available around the world for several years, and it has never suffered any form of security breach. You can feel confident that you will be safe using this legal sports betting site, but you should select a strong password. Its odds are reasonably competitive, the sign-up bonus is great, the list of wagering options is long and payouts are reliable, so it has the potential to build up a strong customer base in the U.S. We would like to see more promos, a loyalty program, more banking options, a search function on the website and 24/7 customer support, but this site has great potential.
