Leeds Through to Championship Playoff Final

Leeds have made it through to the playoff final, after a resounding 4-0 win at Elland Road over Norwich. Daniel Farke's men had far too much for his former side, and defeat was enough to see David Wagner sacked by Norwich the very next day. 

Leeds will face off with either Southampton or West Brom on May 26th in the final, with a Premier League place up for grabs. Leeds are expected to be favourites regardless of the opposition, with UK betting sites expecting them to return to the top tier.

Southampton to Bounce Straight Back to Premier League?

Southampton went on a brilliant late-season run to enter the automatic promotion picture but then ended up falling away to finish fourth. They lost three of their final four matches to end up nine points behind Ipswich in second and three behind Leeds, who also ended the season in poor form. West Brom Ready for Premier League Return After 3 Years?

Out of the four remaining teams in line for Championship promotion, West Brom have had the longest gap away from the riches of the Premier League. Much like the rest of the teams involved in the playoffs, the Baggies stuttered over the finish line with three defeats in their last four. Some of that may be down to the fact they had no chance of automatic promotion and were virtually assured of a playoff place a few weeks out from the end of the season.
