Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated. Since March 1st 2024, our racing tips are 9.83 points up, with 44 tipped winners and six placed each way selections in that time.

Tip 1 - 2:10 Chester - Wen Moon

We have a 5f handicap at Chester, so we can discount those drawn high and concentrate on the low numbers. Regaining Profit can be slow away so could get trapped behind, and Copper Knight is 10 now, so that leaves Wen Moon. He is a horse that tends to get away well and has form over further, a lethal combination that could be hard to peg back on Chester’s left-hand bend.

Tip 2 - 2:25 York - New Image

Penny appears to have dropped in New Image’s four-year-old season, with three wins from five starts since March. Won running away from his competitors last time out at Musselburgh, suggesting that the four-pound rise could be quite lenient. There are others in this race who have been at higher grades in the past, but with Mark Winn taking off a handy three pounds, we side with Frankel-bred New Image, who has looked fairly progressive so far this year.

Tip 3 - 3:20 Chester - Monfrid

Monfrid didn’t appear to be terribly handicapped off 82 when making his handicap debut at Goodwood last month. He ran a solid race to finish fifth in a better contest than this. The inside draw is always a plus at Chester, particularly for a prominent racer like himself. The sharp seven furlongs should be an ideal trip for him, and he looks to have a very strong chance of reversing Goodwood form with Blue Prince and Brunel Nation given this is just his fifth career run.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
