Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 3:00 Kempton - Tripoli Flyer

This is a novices’ hurdle field that looks jam-packed with good horses. Miami Magic last time out was second in Grade 1 company, while Roadlesstravelld has a Grade 2 win on his CV. However, it is Tripoli Flyer who we side with after an 11-length win at Musselburgh last time out, which followed up a 29-length success at Market Rasen in November. Rise of seven pounds for the latest win looks on the lenient side, and we’re hoping he can take full advantage.

Tip 2 - 3:25 Fairyhouse - I Am Maximus

Having been allocated his weight for the Grand National, Willie Mullins can now open the taps on I Am Maximus. He has been plodding round at the rear of fields so far this season in much the same way he did last year, and as he did last year, he now takes up an engagement in the Bobbyjo Chase. He hacked up by 14 lengths in the previous renewal, giving everyone an indication of what was to come at Aintree. It wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see the same thing happen again on Saturday.

Tip 3 - 3:35 Kempton - Beachcomber

Beachcomber produced a dazzling front-running display over course and distance in December, winning by 10 lengths and picking up a valuable pot in the process. He’s up against some unexposed types here, as well as being up nine pounds in the handicap, but the manner of that victory suggested there could be more to come. The weight he gets from those at the top of the betting is a massive boost too.

Tip 4 - 3:55 Newcastle – Horn Cape

Horn Cape hasn’t run since uncharacteristic eighth at Kelso in December but is afforded the opportunity to get back on track here and add to his three course-and-distance wins at this grade. It remains to be seen whether the mark of 132, down 2lb from his last run, is too much for the eight-year-old but last season’s form suggests he will play an important role.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
