Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:12 Southwell - Hebridean Nomad

It is tempting to look towards Caramay, who has a great record on tapeta since cheekpieces were applied of 11212311, but this career-high mark coupled with a trip that perhaps is slightly long of optimal leads us to Hebridean Nomad. This four-year-old has only raced four times with the one win coming as a two-year-old, where he beat two rated in the 80s now. Made a decent fist of things on return and should be able to mix it off a mark 73 for a trainer in Andrew Balding who is flying with five winners from last nine to post.

Tip 2 - 1:25 Wincanton - Shillanavogy

A wide-open race where four of the six in the field arrive on the back of a win last time out. Despite being towards the bottom of the market, Shillanavogy could be the answer. He’s run well beyond three miles over fences and won over a similar trip to today’s at Fontwell last month. His assured stamina could be the deciding factor in today’s heavy ground, which could turn this into a slog.

Tip 3 - 1:42 Southwell – Amazonian Dream

Amazonian Dream’s last two outings don’t make for great reading but he is a course-and-distance winner as recently as November and backed that up with a distance win just a month later at a grade higher at Kempton. A drop back down to Class 3 and only carrying an extra 1lb from that Kempton win should keep the six-year-old in his element in a testing field.

Tip 4 - 2:55 Wincanton - Ioupy Collonges

With so many of these struggling for form, not many are going to be there at the business end at this sort of trip on heavy ground. One you can count on is Ioupy Collonges, who won well last time out over course and distance. He looked like he still had plenty in the tank that day and has won previously on soft ground. This could well be set up for him today.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
