Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:45 Huntingdon - Not So Sobers

It was a solid start to Not So Sobers’ hurdling career in November when he finished a comfortable second behind a 2/9 favourite at Hereford over this distance and showed plenty that puts him in good stead for today’s outing. The competition is tough for this maiden hurdle, but his rivals are yet to impress over two miles, and the six-year-old has proven he can at least stay the course.

Tip 2 - 2:15 Huntington - Stardhem

A switch to chasing could be the making of Stardhem, who has seen back luck conspire against him during his hurdles career. Looking to be going well last time out when he made an uncharacteristic bad mistake that stopped him in his tracks. He probably would have won two starts ago as well, but he was left well clear and possibly forgot he was in a race on the run-in. He’s on a dangerous mark should he take to fences.

Tip 3 - 3:35 Lingfield - Mighty Moth

There are questions surrounding all four of these contenders, but the trip might just be ideal for only one of these in Mighty Moth. Didn’t appear to stay the near three miles last time out so dropping back should be ideal and a mark of 110 within range. Easy To Follow has decent hurdling form, but it’s asking a lot to take on over 12 stone on chasing debut, and all of Fortunefavorsdbold's wins have come over at least three-and-a-half furlongs further.

Tip 4 - 4:25 Punchestown - Misty Milan

Misty Milan didn’t show much in her first five career starts but was well-backed when stepping up in distance on her seasonal reappearance, running well before fading late. She’s up in distance again today, and it’s a fair to assume that her weak finish last time out was more to do with it being her first run in nine months than a lack of stamina. Trainer Declan Queally continues to be among the winners, and Misty Milan may well give him another.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
