Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:55 Taunton - Campaign Trail

We’re in the realms of could be anything with Campaign Trail, who was campaigned on the flat relatively successfully until changing trainers in October 2023. Since then has a win and a third from two hurdles races, with the form of the win in November working out nicely. Third home by seven-and-a-half lengths that day, No Questions Asked, won next time out off a mark of 118, so today’s 116 for Campaign Trail should hold no worries.

Tip 2 - 2:10 Market Rasen – Asa

A course-and-distance winner on Boxing Day marked Asa’s second victory of 2024, a year which also saw her pick up two seconds and two thirds. The move to 3m is only recent and the six-year-old struggled with the change in November but seems to have put that behind her, and even a 5lb rise from the win here in December shouldn’t be too impactful.

Tip 3 - 3:10 Market Rasen - Rialannah

Having looked a much better horse upped to the extended trip for the first time in her last race, Rialannah can go one better today and pick up her first win under rules. Now connections know she will stay the trip it won’t be any surprise to see her race a bit more prominently. She was caught out the back early last time out and had to make a stamina sapping move in the middle part of the race. Better tactics should pay dividends here.

Tip 4 - 4:30 Newcastle - Zivaniya

Midnight Lion is expected to be popular in the betting, but was very disappointing on his only try over this course and distance last March. Preference is for Zivaniya. A three-time winner in his career, with those wins coming off marks of 57, 60 and 62, with the most recent of those wins coming here over this trip. Now rated 60 after a string of uninspiring efforts, he should be primed to strike.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
