Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated. Since March 1st 2024, our racing tips are 8.33 points up, with 46 tipped winners and six placed each way selections in that time.

Tip 1 - 2:40 Pontefract - Sound Reason

Sound Reason is on a pretty long losing run, having last triumphed in July last year at Beverley. However, there are reasons to think he could be there or thereabouts come the end at a nice price. Shaped well at Hamilton last time when finishing fourth of nine but only three-quarters of a length behind the winner. Is now running on a career-low mark of 66, with his last winning mark being eight pounds higher. Conditions will suit, so he should have real chances.

Tip 2 - 2:55 Worcester - Ajp Kingdom

The outcome of this race will largely depend on which Ajp Kingdom shows up. In 11 races under rules, he’s won four, finished second in four and pulled up three times. His two runs over fences have suggested he mightn’t be the most natural of jumpers, jumping to the right and making his fair share of mistakes. As a 7yo, he’s the least exposed of these and has already shown he’s capable to a certain level. If he can brush up his jumping and is on a going day, he’ll take a lot of beating.

Tip 3 - 4:15 Pontefract - Daytona Lady

After a string of consistent runs on the all-weather without getting her head in front since January, Daytona Lady made the successful switch to turf last time out. It can often pay to stick with a filly or mare who’s in form, and that might just be the right play in this race. She’s gone up five pounds for her win by a neck three weeks ago, which is a little steep, but she has won off a three pound higher mark than this in the past, so her rating of 67 should still be workable.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
