Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:25 Naas - Vanderbilt House

Johnny Murtagh’s Vanderbilt house has a pair of fifth place finishes to her name, which don’t immediately jump off the page. However, they were decent quality Leopardstown madents, and the form looks pretty solid in the context of this race. Lunigiana sets the standard, and Misappropriation is a well-fancied newcomer, but at the prices, it’s worth taking a chance on the shorter trip unlocking some improvement in Vanderbilt House.

Tip 2 - 2:33 Pontefract - Fort Augustus

It can be dangerous to make excuses for horses, but that’s exactly what we’re going to do with Fort Augustus. He hasn’t really threatened in the two decent contests he’s run in to date. On debut, he was bumped at the start, and last time out, he hung under pressure on potentially unsuitable soft ground. He ran well in both races given the circumstances, and we’re giving him another chance today.

Tip 3 - 3:50 Yarmouth - Force and Valour

After not performing on soft last time out when he clearly didn’t enjoy the ground, Force and Valour gets a much faster surface to bounce off today. His opening mark of 79 could be lenient, and there is clearly some belief in his ability, as he only went off at 11/2 in a stakes race despite conceding weight to opposition rated higher than he currently is.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
