Tip 1 - 12:20 Clonmel - Charlie’s Dilemma

Charlie’s Dilemma has been running consistently well in maiden hurdles for more than a year without managing to get his head in front. He’s not been out of the first four and has finished second three times from six tries. There’s nothing special about his form, but that comment also applies to his opposition today. He looks sure to run his usual, solid race, and that might just be enough to finally break his duck.

Tip 2 - 1:05 Newbury - Wellington Arch

Wellington Arch was thought good enough to go off in a Grade 2 bumper on last appearance in April and showed some promise last season prior to that. Hasn’t run since that showing at Aintree but is now part of the Jonjo O’Neill yard, which is flying at present. Jonjo O’Neill Jr has three winners from his last eight going to post and rode this horse for previous owners so knows him well.

Tip 3 - 1:25 Southwell - Crown’s Lady

Crown’s Lady looks like she should be shorter in the market than she is at present. She has a course-and-distance win and second here from two starts. The second was five days and was by a nose to a 69-rated horse. Off the same mark and in 0-68 company, she looks the one to beat.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
