Tip 1 - 2:00 Lingfield - Colours On Canvas

The short price favourite in the opener at Lingfield could be worth taking on, as he looked like he failed to get home at his last attempt at this trip. Colours On Canvas could be an interesting recruit to the division, a multiple winner over obstacles who holds a hurdle rating of 128 he could be a cut above these if he translates his form to the flat.

Tip 2 - 2:50 Catterick - Albegone

There are a few protagonists in decent form for this race, and we side with Albegone, who has made the course and distance a happy home in recent times. In the last seasons, he has a record of 7151122 and will appreciate the soft ground here. Is now five pounds lower than his last winning mark here of 68 in May and ran on well to finish just over a length shy of an 81-rated Night On Earth last time.

Tip 3 - 4:05 Galway - Monasterboice

Galway can be a pretty tough track for horses tackling it for the first time, so course and distance winner Monasterboice should have an advantage over the field in that sense. He’s in red-hot form, having completed a hat-trick last month, and faces plenty of out of form rivals today. He’s pretty nicely treated at the weights by the conditions of the race and looks to have a rock solid chance.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
