Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:10 Brighton - Secret Handsheikh

Track specialist Secret Handsheikh returns to the scene of his last four wins, with all four coming over today’s trip. He has won at Brighton on ground both softer and firmer than today’s underfoot conditions, so there are no worries on that front. He is maybe getting a bit high in the weights these days, but he has won off 10lb higher at his peak, so there is some room in his mark.

Tip 2 - 3:15 Galway - Depalma

Wee Charlie is expected to go off as a strong favourite, but preference is for Depalma. He ran a very solid race on his third maiden start, finishing a close fourth at Kilbeggan in May. That form is nothing special, but he’s been given an opening mark of just 97. Trip and ground should be fine, and if he’s fully wound up after nearly five months off, he’ll take all the beating.

Tip 3 - 3:23 Leicester - Sounds Of Spring

There are a few in this with interesting form over the tough ground conditions today will be, some over course and distance, but we go with lightly raced seven-year-old Sounds Of Spring. An inconsistent sort who has performed well the last two times out with a convincing win at Ffos Las and second at Carlisle, with the third home in the latter winning since. Best form has come on heavy and soft ground and is well handicapped at 57 having won on soft ground at Navan off a mark of 70 previously.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
