Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 3:20 Punchestown - Rainbow Trail

Rainbow Trail made an excellent debut over fences, and looks like he’ll make a better chaser than hurdler. He faces a field here who have put in and out performances in over the bigger obstacles, so another solid round of jumping will see him pick up another win for Gordon Elliott. A trainer who isn’t afraid to have his horses ready early in the season.

Tip 2 - 3:38 Worcester - King Roly

There’s plenty of guesswork in this race, with four of the five runners having their first run in six months or more. The exception to that is King Roly, who has run and won twice since August. What that form adds up to is up for debate, but there are no question marks over his wellbeing. That could count for plenty in this race, and he’s the one runner you can confidently say will run to his level.

Tip 3 - 3:50 Punchestown - Conflated

This feels like the jumps season has started properly, a big clash between seasoned campaigners. At 11 it will take a big effort for Minella Indo to take this against a field with some class. Off level weights Hewick would be the choice, but 12lb is too much to concede to Conflated over a trip shorter than is optimum.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
