The 2019 NBA Christmas Day feast includes five Yuletide sugarplums as the regular season undergoes its annual holiday reset.

In the second start of the day, the Philadelphia 76ers host the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. This is a potential NBA Eastern Conference finals matchup. It’s also the first time these teams have met this season.

The 76ers are mere -0.5 favorites at home at DraftKings on an over/under of 222.5. Both teams are -109 on the moneyline.

NBA fans and bettors can follow the action above via the NBACast, hosted by NBA expert Nate Duncan, starting at 2:30 p.m. The #NBACast offers live, in-game analysis, up-to-the second breakout stats and – as always – will take your questions. The NBACast is sponsored by Bookies.com.

ABC airs the Bucks-76ers contest part of a five-game lineup split between ESPN and ABC.

The 76ers are among five teams within two games of the second spot behind Milwaukee in the East. Two of those other four teams – Boston and Toronto – begin the Christmas Day lineup on ESPN at noon. The visiting Celtics are -2.5 favorites and -139 on the moneyline. The Raptors are +117 at home on an over/under of 213.5.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks easily dusted off Indiana 117-89 at home on Sunday. Milwaukee is 27-4 and enter Christmas Day play with a five-game lead over second-place Boston in race for the top spot in the NBA Eastern Conference. But the Bucks are just 8-6-0 ATS on the road this season.

Antetokounmpo, the reigning NBA MVP, had 18 points, 19 rebounds and nine assists Sunday. He’s averaging 31 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 30 games this season and looks to repeat as the NBA’s most-valuable player. Not to mention one of the league’s top all-around nice guys.

There will be no load-management concerns for Philadelphia center Joel Embiid, who is tops among the Sixers with 23.1 points and 12.8 rebounds over 25 games this season. Coach Brett Brown will try figure a way to contain Antetokounmpo by likely using both Al Horford and Embiid. Antetokounmpo scored 52 points against Philly last March, but Horford was playing for Boston at the time.

The 76ers crushed Detroit 125-109 Monday in a warm-up for their holiday marquee event. Ben Simmons had another triple-double with 16 points, 17 assists, and 13. Simmons is eager to play Wednesday.

“Since we haven’t played them yet, it will be a good test for us,” Simmons said. “So, we are looking forward to the game on Christmas Day, it’s going to be exciting.”
